"Making a new product requires a lot of the materials and energy. Every year, Americans throw away 50 billion food in the trash. Around 85% of our garbage is sent to a dump, or landfill, where it can take from 100–400 years to decompose.
I designed an environmentally conscious web and print publication that focus on different uses of food scraps. Instead of disposing the scraps away, why not try to find ways to reuse them. I want to educate people to cut down the amount of waste we produce and stimulate their creativity through instructional projects that they can do with disposable objects. Many food scraps can be re-purpose into something completely different and useful for yourself and the environment itself.”
